Featured Projects

The Sundance Film Festival — Park City, UT

web_featured_sundance_homepage GPS has had the pleasure of programming and installing the AMX control system at The Sundance Film Festival for the past several years. This includes venues throughout Park and Salt Lake Cities as well as the Sundance Institute Screening Room.

What is amazing about this project is that over half of the 16 venues are temporary. Each year a substantially larger stage crew comes out to set-up and subsequently tear-down each of the facilities. Temporary audio road racks filled with Dolby gear are placed together with the hottest new industry video projectors HD, DVD and CD players.

In this hi-profile environment, projectionists are constantly switching between film, video, and other miscellaneous media. Seamless presentation and ease of control is vital to providing an optimal show experience.

Classic Residence — Salt Lake City, UT

240819extbackfrnorthc_250x195 GPS has worked on residences nation-wide. Whole house control, as in this residence, includes such things as cameras, security, HVAC, lighting, shades, spas, theaters, whole house music, audio and video distribution.

All touch panels are capable of full house control, and advanced programming techniques help to simplify and stabilize the complexity of these systems.

Silliman College at Yale — New Haven, CT

web_featured_sillimancollege_entry_250x188 Educational institutions such as Yale, Harvard, and The Berklee School of Music are among some of the facilities which have been automated by Gesler Programming Services.

From film schools, to conference rooms, and student lounges, GPS offers intuitive touch panel designs which require very little training. In organizations such as these where new students arrive annually, users are able to operate otherwise complex equipment with a touch of a few buttons.

The Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa — Telluride, CO

web_featured_thepeaksresort This Resort and Day-Spa in beautiful Telluride, Colorado was converting some of its hotel rooms to up-scale condominiums. As part of the base package, the room automation was equipped with a door camera/lock system, full room audio/video control, and integration with the Hotel's service and local reservation system.

Touch panels were designed to supplement the Hotel's web-site offering information on local events, activities, and current weather conditions.

The Dryden Theater at George Eastman House — Rochester, NY

web_featured_dryden_250x188 The Dryden Theatre is the Museum’s sole exhibition space for showcasing its unparalleled collection of motion pictures, as well as fine selections from the world’s other great archives, and premieres of new foreign and independent cinema.

In July of 2007, this theater underwent a substantial technical upgrade complete with Dolby 5.1 sound system, Kinoton film projects, and DLP video projector.

Tribeca Grand Hotel — New York, NY

web_featured_tribecca_theater_01 This state-of-the art screening room is used daily by New York Film makers, businesses, and hotel staff. It houses the latest in digital video projection, Blu-ray, HDcam, DVCam, and Digibeta players. This extensive array of equipment is rented by film makers to view dailies, businesses for company sales presentations, and hotel staff to entertain guests and their children.

For ease of use, GPS automated not only the equipment but a complex set of audio/video switchers and scalers which enable the viewing of the extensive set of video sources.
